Kapila, a devotee of Ganesha, prays to Ganesha to retrieve the gem. Ganesha together with his army seems in Gana's dream; among his soldiers cuts Gana's head. Gana wakes up and marches to Kapila's hermitage with his Military, desiring to slay the sage. Abhijit tries to dissuade his son and advises him to return Chintamani into the sage, but in vain
